Metal Specifications:

Lead-Free Pewter: Used in all our bronze-coloured coins and artefacts. Meets BS 5140 Spec. contains, 92% Tin, 7.5% Antimony, 0.5% Copper

No 3 Low Melt Alloy: Used in all silver coloured items such as all silver coins and some artefacts. 34% tin, 9% Antimony, 4% Bismuth, 53% Lead
Objects containing lead should be handled according to current Health & Safety guidelines.

Gold coloured items are sent away to be gilded by industrial platers. All our gold coins are gilded with 23 carat gold.

Bronze Coloured coins and artefacts are made from Lead-Free Pewter, dipped in copper sulphate solution then toned using various polishes. There may be residues of polish on some artefacts.
