This reproduction is an As of Nero. The coin is 28mm in diameter and shows on the obverse side the bare head of Nero facing right with a globe at the point of truncation. The obverse legend reads: IMP NERO CAESAR AVG P MAX TR P P P
The reverse shows Victory alighting left, wings spread, holding shield inscribed S P Q R.
The coin was minted in Lugdunum which is modern-day Lyons in France. It is dated to AD 66—67. It is RIC 1, 543 and 605.
