This lovely denarius shows a fine portrait of the young Caracalla on the obverse with the legend ANTONINVS PIVS AVG.
The reverse shows Mars standing left holding a branch and a spear. The reverse legend reads PONTIF TR P VIII COS II. The coin dates to AD 205. It is Seaby 1941.
