No 792 King Alfred Offering Piece.
These ‘offering pieces’ were produced in the reign of Alfred the Great weighing the equivalent of six regular pennies, which were made as alms-pieces, probably to be sent abroad. It is suggested that they were minted in Winchester.

Rev: ELIMO?? Abbreviation of ELIMOSINA translated as Romescot possibly money paid to Rome.
Made from a modern die cut by a master craftsman to represent this type and hand struck from pewter.
