Silver Gilt Royalist Supporter Badge possibly dropped or ripped off a tunic shortly aftre the Battle of Worcester.
This is an interesting piece which was originally gold gilded. It was found by a metal detectorist on land not too far away from where the Battle of Worcester took place during the English Civil War. With the fixing point broken off it might be presumed that it might have been ripped off a tunic either in haste to deny being a Royalist or by a Cromwellian.
A very interesting piece with some fascinating history.
