Eceni quarter stater dating from c.40-20 BC. This is an extremely rare example with only 4 others recorded with the Celtic Coin Index. The die pairing on this coin makes it unique.
The coin shows a cruciform design with ringed-pellet at each end and four-spoked wheel in centre, teardrop motif with crossbar at top and pellets in angles, beaded border.
The opposite side shows a globular horse facing right, short dashes for the mane, pellet under mane, pellet under tail, ring or crescent above, ringed pellet below.
