Anglo-Saxon Gold Thrymsa. This is another gem of a reproduction and proves to be one of the rarest coins we have copied. We are led to believe that the original sold for more than £2,500 at a sale.
This coin was probably minted between the years 630 AD and 675 AD. It appears to have been opied from the obsolte Roman coinage and shows a Roman style bust right on the obverse and Victory protecting ‘two emperors’ on the reverse.
