Initial research suggests that it probably dates to the 14th/15th centuries. It is in superb condition and features the head of a gentleman and reads: “S’ PETRI: DE: D’ ENG*”
It measures 30mm, 1.5” in length. It is likely to have been a personal seal bought from a mass produced source rather than been specially made for Petri or Peter.
