Very rare 16th century Priests ring. Found in a field in which during the 1550's a priest was found hiding in a priest hole in a nearby farm and was dragged to a tree and hung.
What horrors the owner must have seen and felt at a time when Catholics were banned and persecuted. Was the ring lost or dropped in fear? Only history can tell !
