This beautiful hamered coin, in VF condition, was minted in Danish East Anglia circa. 885-915 AD. It is marked in Seaby as ‘St. Edmund memorial coinage’.
Made from a modern die cut by a master craftsman to represent this type and hand struck from pewter. The die maker has used the name SAFFRON WALDEN as the mint town on the coin.
