These little gold coins are very rare and we have been fortunate in being asked to reproduce another gem.
This example dates to between 655-675 AD and is of the ‘Varimundus’ type. It is shown in Seaby 771. The obverse shows a diademed bust right, holding a sceptre. The reverse shows a cross with C A in the lower angles.
