This is a gold quarter stater minted by the Cantii tribe, circa 45-40 BC. The Cantii were four tribal groups who ranged through Kent. The coin is VA 147.
The quality of the gold on this coin is very low and consequently the gold is not as bright as our normal staters. However it is an exact match to the original.
