This lovely gold stater ats from circa 10-43 AD. It measures 17 mm in diameter.
It is one of the nicest gold staters we have copied.
It shows a CAMVL monogram in a rectangular box on a wreath motif, heart-shaped hidden face in angle.
The reverse shows two horses galloping left with large leaf above, wheel below with pellets, traces of CVNOBELIN below. It is VA 1910-2. This coin was minted by Cunobelin who politically united the Catuvellauni and Trinovantes tribes.
