Cast copper alloy object dating from the Iron Age to Roman period, (800BC-410AD). The object consists of a face with an integral perforated suspension loop. The object is oval in plan and semi-circular in cross-section. The face is flat and the head expands backwards. The face has incised lentoid eyes, a wide, slightly raised noise and a broad smiling mouth. The hair consists of eight long raised ridges.
The function is uncertain however it is likely to have been used as a weight and or a pendant. The object has a dark brown patina and is in good condition.
