This coin was featured in the June 2002 edition of The Searcher magazine. It was found by Michael Martin a visitor to the UK from the USA. Michael donated this beautiful coin to The Castle Museum in Norwich.
The coin is a Iceni tribe Norfolk Wolf Gold Quarter Stater minted about 60-65 AD. It shows a long legged wolf with gaping jaws and bristled back on one side and a wild boar on the other. It is classed as a very rare coin.
