This is a rare variant of a beautiful classical gold Celtic stater. It is a ‘Corn Ear’ gold quarter stater on which the obverse shows a cornear with central stalk. CA to the left and M to the right, beaded border around.
The reverse shows a horse prancing right with the letters CVNO below. Above the horse are three crescents. Most of these coins show a branch above the horse.
