This is a reproduction of an object found just a month or so ago by a metal detectorist.
All Saxon artefacts are classed as rare and this beautiful pendant, the original of which was made of silver must be classed as very rare. Our copy could also be worn which must add to its attraction. It measures 34mm x 26 mm so would be very noticeable.
One side shows a letter ‘A’. The other we think is a ‘W’.
