There is a photograph of a strap end virtually identical to our specimen in the new Benet’s ‘Artefacts of England and the United Kingdom’ on Page 164. It is item No V12-0201.
It is described as having an openwork design with a value of £125-£175.
Our example is in splendid condition, ie. complete and undamaged.
